(tick) Test Case 1. Use a test PSU Id that is TER (terminated) in IBIS.  Try to add a Workflow TRMN form for this PSU id.  The error “Position # cannot be terminated:  This appointment is not currently active” should display and not allow the form to be added.

>> Test Result on 10-30-12:

  1. Log into PAWS/WF as user huw6.
  2. Create a TRMN form for psu ID 928967420, Type - Voluntary,  Reason - Other and termination date as 10/24/12.
  3. Save the Draft.
  4. Submit the form. Record the form number 163389 .
  5. Donna manually made the PSU Id look as if it has been batch terminated in IBIS using the UPR1 function in TESTAIS
  6. As user huw6 at HR Rep step, tried to approve the form 163389, I tried to approve the form 163389 but received the following error " WARNING: Employee's Appointment End Date has changed - verify this change before approvingThere are errors on this form. Please review and correct: Employee is currently terminated"
  7. As user huw6, tried to create a new Workflow TRMN form for psu id 928967420, and received the following error " Position 03789000 cannot be terminated: This appointment is not currently active There are errors on this form. Please review and correct: Selected Position is a required field"

(tick) Test Case 2. Use a test PSU Id that is ACT (active) in IBIS.  Add a Workflow TRMN form so that the form status is DRA.  Make the PSU Id look as if it has been batch terminated in IBIS using the UPR1 function in TESTAIS.  Try to SUB (submit) the Workflow TRMN form.  The error “Position # cannot be terminated:  This appointment is not currently active” should display and not allow the form to be further processed.  This form should be rejected by the approver.

>> Test Result on 10-30-12:

  1. Donna manually reloaded the data for psu ID 928967420 and made it active.
  2. Log into PAWS/WF as user huw6.
  3. Create a TRMN form for psu ID 928967420, Type - Voluntary,  Reason - Other and termination date as 10/24/12.
  4. Save the Draft.
  5. Submit the form. Record the form number 163395 .
  6. Donna manually made the PSU Id look as if it has been batch terminated in IBIS using the UPR1 function in TESTAIS
  7. As user huw6 at form creation step, tried to submit the form 163395, received the error There are errors on this form. Please review and correct: Employee is currently terminated"

(tick) Test Case 3. Use a test PSU Id that is ACT (active) in IBIS.  Add and Submit a Workflow TRMN form so that the form status is INP (In Process).  Make the PSU Id look as if it has been batch terminated in IBIS using the UPR1 function in TESTAIS.  Approve the form to the Payroll Central Desk but do not approve it as the Central Desk – that is, do not process the form to a PRO (Processed) or UPD (update) status.  This form should approve to the Payroll Central Desk without error.

>> Test Result on 10-30-12:

  1. Log into PAWS/WF as user huw6.
  2. Create a TRMN form for psu ID 928967420, Type - Voluntary,  Reason - Other and termination date as 10/24/12.
  3. Save the Draft.
  4. Submit the form. Record the form number 163396.
  5. Donna manually made the PSU Id look as if it has been batch terminated in IBIS using the UPR1 function in TESTAIS
  6. As user huw6 at HR Rep step, tried to approve the form 163396I tried to approve the form 163389 but received the system error "com.ibm.ejs.container.BeanNotReentrantException: TX_IN_METHOD: wrong transaction". Tried to come back to the form but the approve button was gone ...
  7. Will have discussion with Donna tomorrow to review the problems.

Update: the error observed in Step 6 was due to a test webMethods problem. According to  Linda, "a setting in MWS was incorrect.  Fortunately Daryl was able to spot it and correct it".

(tick) >> Test Result on 10-31-12:

Before the testing started, the Test webMethods server problem was fixed. An email was sent out to AIS-TEST-EVENTS to request for refraining from system changes during the test period.

  1. Tammy manually made the psu Id 928967420 active,
  2. Log into PAWS/WF as user huw6.
  3. Create a TRMN form for psu ID 928967420, Type - Voluntary,  Reason - Other and termination date as 10/24/12.
  4. Save the Draft.
  5. Submit the form. Record the form number 163401.
  6. User dke1 at HR Rep step, approved the form 163401.
  7. Tammy manually made the PSU Id look as if it has been batch terminated in IBIS using the UPR1 function in TESTAIS
  8. User huw6 at Budget Administrator step, approved the form 163401.
  9. User dke1 at Financial Officer step, approved the form 163401.
  10. User huw6 at OHR Central Desk step, approved the form 163401. (Encountered system error:
    edu.psu.ais.aaf.dao.GiDAOException: 9999: SOAPException( Server.userException: com.webmethods.portal.bizPolicy.BizException: [POP.017.0033] You can not update non-Active task: 10869 ) (SOAPException( Server.userException: com.webmethods.portal.bizPolicy.BizException: [POP.017.0033] You can not update non-Active task: 10869 ) for the first attempt of form approval. But succeeded at the 2nd attempt. Probably the first approval attempt was  too close to the dke'1 approval action (1 minute delay). Howard will bring this observation to Daryl and Linda's attention. )
     

Test Case 4. (Continue from Test Case 3).  Use the form created at Test Case 3. Approve the form at the Payroll Central Desk to make the form in PRO status by using the Form Effective Date in the past. 

>> Test Result on 10-31-12:

  1. In Test Workflow, User dke1 at Payroll Central Desk step, modified the Pay Period End Date to 10/31/11 and saved the form.
  2. In Test Workflow, User dke1 at Payroll Central Desk step, approved the form 163401. The form turned  into PRO status.
  3. Tammy used IAPP function in TESTAIS to check the record. Not all data were updated as expected.   Tammy/Donna will prepare and run the test version of the  Batch Termination on the psu id 928967420 to simulate the full version of termination process in IBIS. And we will re-run this test case again.

Test Case 5. (Rerun Test Case 3, and continue from Test Case 3).  Use the form created at Test Case 3. Approve the form at the Payroll Central Desk to make the form in UPD status by using the Form Effective Date of one day after the current date. This should place the form in UPD status and cut a TRLOG for batch processing.  Contact an IBIS developer to process the Test Workflow Form through the Batch Form Process.  This form should process correctly in IBIS.
