Scan a Single- or Multipage PDF

Note: These instructions are only for Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional. Also, your path to Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional may vary.

Scanning the First Page

  1. From the Start menu, choose All Programs→Electronic Publishing→Adobe Acrobat 8.0→Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional.  Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional will launch.
  2. In Adobe Acrobat Professional, choose File→Create PDF→From Scanner...  The Create PDF from Scanner dialog box appears.
  3. Select your scanner from the Scanner dropdown menu.
  4. Make adjustments to any of the fields and/or settings and then click Scan.
  5. Save your document.

Scanning Subsequent Pages

  1. From the Start menu, choose All Programs→Electronic Publishing→Adobe Acrobat 8.0→Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional.  Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional will launch.
  2. In Adobe Acrobat Professional, choose File→Create PDF→From Scanner...  The Create PDF from Scanner dialog box appears.
  3. Make sure your scanner is selected in the Scanner dropdown menu.
  4. Change the Destination to Append to Current.
  5. Make adjustments to any of the fields and/or settings and then click Scan.
  6. Save your document.
