Finding a Meeting Time with Group Agendas

Have you been having a hard time finding a common meeting time and room for several people? Try using Oracle Calendar's Group View feature.

How to Open Group Agenda

  1. Using the Oracle Calendar desktop client, click File?Open?Group Agenda... A dialog box will appear.
  2. In the Open Group Agenda dialog, add the names or userids (ex: abc123) of each person one at a time.
  3. Add each resource. You can do this by searching, or by typing res: plus the name (or # Make sure you have all of the people and resources you need, and click OK. A Group Agenda will appear.

How to Use Group Agenda


The Group Agenda view shows a single day at a time for all group members, but you may use the Previous, Next, and Select Date buttons ( ) to move to any date you wish.

The Combined column of the group shows red areas where one or more members of your group are unavailable. White areas of the Combined column are times that are free for all group members.

If you are having trouble getting the whole group together, you may decide to meet with out a few really busy members who are not essential to your meeting. Each member of the group has a checkbox beside it. To have a member's availability removed from group consideration, uncheck this box.

Double-click on an any block of time from the this column to add all of the members of your group will be added to the meeting proposal automatically!

Tip: If you assist multiple people or are responsible for multiple resources, you may want to use this view for viewing and/or printing these calendars rather than having several open calendar windows on your desktop.
